Air Alert for Windows 3.1 and 9x
One day I had an idea of making an alert app for Windows 3.1. I have managed to create a design for it, but it needs more attention than the 9x version, on which I have moved later.
The original app for Windows 3.1 (on the right) made with Delphi 1. It was always private because I couldn't make it work "yet". The newer app for Windows 9x was made with Deplhi 6 (on the image to the left) and was in fact quite functional. Its size is about 750 kBytes. The MS-DOS variant (same image on the left) was casually made around that same time and it was a huge surprise that I could make it! Written on C, compiled with Borland C suite, yes - I made the code while using DOS.
The app was being bug-tested due to the worst code you could ever imagine, however at end of 2025 year I have rewritten it and made it work with genuine API, however due to security concerns and internal design implication it causes I can't publish the updated version as of now. Also, at the same time I've made a Linux port based on MS-DOS code, and even improved it, so possibly the latter one might get an update soon too!

Note: Do not expose your old machine to the internet. This includes: MS-DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and anything in between them. Windows 10 and 11 are still up-to-date - they are fine. Do NOT rely on this app as a reliable source of information. App may break at any time and I can decide to not to repair it.
